This is my favorite place to hang out in the entire city of Pittsburgh!! The building is gorgeous and I could spend hours just looking around. They have every kinda of book, DVD, etc. That you could want literally. The foreign film section is FANTASTIC! and they have so many movies that are hard to find elsewhere. The staff are so kind and there to help you with absolutely anything you need. You can chill and relax in the amazing bamboo deck or one of the very nice reading wings or in any of the numerous other comfortable seating areas. This is without a doubt one of the best library experiences in the whole country.
Why is the children’s section of the Library LGBQT’d out? The building is a beautiful example of what high level capitalism can create and is drenched in Communist and Leftist propaganda. That aside, because diversity of ideas is fine. The LQBQT push in the children’s section is unacceptable and disgusting.
We absolutely love this library! Not only is it gorgeous 🤩 but it has such a huge selections of books! It’s always so clean and nice. I always want to spend hours here. The different areas they have for reading and studying are perfect. It can be busy at times, but is still a very enjoyable experience. Definitely recommend! …
This library really stands out among all five Carnegie libraries we've visited so far. It's just breathtakingly beautiful outside and inside. We checked out a small exhibition during our visit.
A few weeks ago, I was looking to expand my reading genre and needed help with selecting authors. I asked Leah for assistance, and she went above and beyond my expectations. Not only did she search for authors that were comparable to some of the authors that I normally read, but she even checked to see if the books were in and if they weren't Leah went ahead and ordered them for me. Since Leah introduced me to a few new authors, I can't wait to read my new library books while sipping on some tea.
Wow! I absolutely love this library. The moment I enter the building I am blown away by the incredible architecture. I feel like royalty as I enter the building the doors automatically open inviting me in to explore. There is a book for everyone. There are tons of resources, fun activities, and educational activities. They even have a scavenger hunt! I love taking a beautiful day off going to the library, reading and enjoying a nice picnic outside in the shade. Bring a hammock and relax. Have fun! Thank you for this incredible space.
I always bring my children learn and play in here 🥰 …
This library is absolutely huge, I didn't stay very long here but it was a nice experience. The librarians here were super friendly to me as well. I took one star off as the parking was a lot ($6 for 1 hr, $11 for 1-2 hrs), so as a college student I stayed 30 minutes for free. I would reccomend taking the bus down and staying the day as it was very nice.
